What is BuildersPass?
BuildersPass is a marketplace that connects verified construction subcontractors with affordable-housing developers, government agencies, and commercial builders. We verify credentials; you negotiate contracts directly.
How much does it cost subcontractors?
Membership tiers start at $450/year for Commercial Pass (private commercial work only — no government projects), $875/year for Verified Pass (federal & state public-works ready), and $2,125/year for Elite (invitation only). We verify credentials so GCs and agencies can hire with confidence. See our pricing page for current rates.
Does BuildersPass take a percentage of my contracts?
No. We never take a percentage, success fee, or commission on any project you win. Subscription only.
How long does verification take?
Most subcontractors complete verification within 5–7 business days from the time we receive a complete application with license, COI, and any certifications.
Do developers pay to use BuildersPass?
Searching the directory and requesting introductions is free for developers and government agencies.
What counts as a 'verified' subcontractor?
We verify legal entity, trade license, certificate of insurance, SAM.gov status, and run OFAC and SAM Exclusions checks. See How We Screen for the full process.
What trades do you cover?
All commercial and federal construction trades — concrete, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, demolition, drywall, framing, masonry, flooring, painting, abatement, sitework, and specialty work.
Do you guarantee projects, payment, or quality?
No. BuildersPass is an information marketplace. We do not guarantee project award, performance, payment, or any outcome. Always conduct independent due diligence and use proper contracts.
Can I be removed from the directory?
Yes — you can request removal at any time by emailing admin@builderspass.com.
What if my license or insurance expires?
We re-verify at expiration. If credentials lapse, your listing is flagged or unpublished until updated documents are received.
